Memorial to Stanley

Stanley lives on in our hearts and will be missed very much, by the ones who love him. He was one of a kind and always willing to lend a helping hand.  Anyone who knew Stanley can agree that he had the best personality one could have. Without a doubt, he was a great son, brother, husband, grandfather, uncle and friend. What stood out most was his sense of humor. He had the great ability to make you smile not matter how down you were. He was a genuinely happy person. Stanley, no matter where you are, I know you are making people happy, making people smile. You will truly be missed by all.

Little did we know that this was Stanley's last day with us here on earth. He had just killed an eight point deer, the morning of his death. He has now gone on to be with our Lord and Savior.

He was born in Banks County Ga. and grew up around that area. He later married Jeanette Duncan and they have made their  home in Lula all the years of their married life. There they built their own home on a big lot. Stanley loved to do yard and garden work. He also loved and owned horses.

His family was his delight. He was always there to help them with their projects and keeping the vehicles repaired. He worked at various other jobs outside of his construction work.

Missing You

There's a sad ache in our hearts today

You have left us and gone away

We try to carry on, although it's sometime grim

We give way and cast it all on Him

Jesus too had loved ones to die

So He knows and hears each sad sigh

Gift of Memory

One gift, above all others
God gives to us to treasure
One that knows no time, no place
And one gold cannot measure

The precious, poignant tender gift
Of Memory...that will keep
On dear ones ever in our hearts
Although God gives them sleep

It brings back long remembered things
A song, a word, a smile
And the world's a better place
...because
We had them for awhile

Wondering

Today I stood by your gravesite

And wondered why you had to die

I wondered if you knew

That I had come to view

Your gravesite of flowers

Built up like towers

O I know if you could speak

You'd say, "Please do not weep"

I've gone to be with Jesus our Lord

I'm so happy now, and my battle is won

I'm living in a much better place

It's free to all who are saved by grace

I'll be waiting for you to join me

We will live together through eternity

Angels of Mercy

We need you now

Come and hold our hand

Help us in wearisome times

To know that You are near

Send your spirit of love

To guide our hearts

To Jesus
